Custom Designed Bridal Garters

I love when brides (or bridesmaids) email me loving my style and would like me to design a custom garter for their wedding! Its so much fun and interesting to see what clients like to include in their wedding. Recently ive had two customs orders from different ends of the design scale. One was a local bride wnating a Batman garter to satifiy her 'geeky' side and to give her husband a giggle. She wanted it to still be girly and eklegant though. This is what i designed for her and she loves it! I even made the Batman logo pendent our of a large black/ metal effect bead with diamontes stuck on it- very bling bling!

Another custom order i just completed was a peacock garter incorporating a peacock feather a vintage style brooch and navy blue satin (the colour of the bridesmaid dresses). It turned out very elegant

My custom design orders start at USD$30 for a complete set plus shipping costs. To enquiry please email me with your colours, ideas, any pictures of styles you have at nataliebriggs@live.com.au

Dont be traditional if you dont want to be

Dont feel you have to go the tradtional way when planning your wedding! Think outside the box when it comes to venues, your dress, the food you serve, the service you have. Even the invitations you send out. Not only can alternate weddings be a lot cheaper beacuse your not going done the usual route for suppliers and vendors, but it can also make the day a whole lot more rememberable!

Sexy and fun garter OR traditional Garter

Well ive sold four sexy and elegant bridal garters garter now that im pretty proud of and my first scottish tartan garter ! I love making the more modern, difernet sexy garters instead of the more traditional vintage lace garters, even though i do like the look of them but i feel to really bring the idea of wearing a garter again, it really needs to be reinvented. Thats why i have garters with giant flowers, garters that resemble lingerie, garters with pictures of birds on them even! Wedding dress have come a long way from the lacy dresses of the past so why cant the humble garter. With so much tradition in weddings, the garter toss really helps to lift the party mood at a wedding and gets everyone involved as a group which is what i really love at weddings.

Have your opinion: what do you prefer? Modern and sexy and fun, OR traditonal?

Garter toss traditon

So whats with the garter toss and why should i even have a garter.

Well the garter toss has been traditionally to symbolise the giving away fo the new brides 'single status'. The new husband normally takes off the garter with his teeth as this adds a bit of fun to the evening. I have been to some weddings though who have had the best man or groomsmen removing the garter for the bridal toss. I dont understand this is certainly wouldnt want anyone else other than my new husband with his mouth near my thigh!

Any way, theres the tradtion, it has developed and grown. Wondering if you even want to have the bridal toss? Why not, its another activity you can add to your wedding and its free! well other than buying a wedding garter for the garter toss, which isnt so boring anymore. With more and more new wedding designs for garters to options are endless. The old frilly lacey boring garters that look like something your grandma has to cover her toilet roll are a thing of the past. With all that white on a wedding day why not have a fun unique and colourful garter for your garter toss? Check out my garters at http://www.nataliebriggs.etsy.com/ where you'll find exciting garters without the huge price tag as in the shops and yet better made! because i handmake all of my garters myself.

Wow what a day! My Light Blue Princess Garter got 40 views in only one day! And Bridal Selections in New York emailed me today asking for my AWholesale terms so ive sent that off, hopefully here back from them. That would be great to have my garters already for sale in a store in New York!!!! Have to find out how to make up some fabric labels to go on the inside of the garters with my name on them if i do get this deal, so it still bring some traffic back to my website.
