Well ive sold four sexy and elegant bridal garters garter now that im pretty proud of and my first scottish tartan garter ! I love making the more modern, difernet sexy garters instead of the more traditional vintage lace garters, even though i do like the look of them but i feel to really bring the idea of wearing a garter again, it really needs to be reinvented. Thats why i have garters with giant flowers, garters that resemble lingerie, garters with pictures of birds on them even! Wedding dress have come a long way from the lacy dresses of the past so why cant the humble garter. With so much tradition in weddings, the garter toss really helps to lift the party mood at a wedding and gets everyone involved as a group which is what i really love at weddings.
Have your opinion: what do you prefer? Modern and sexy and fun, OR traditonal?

Garter toss traditon
So whats with the garter toss and why should i even have a garter.
Well the garter toss has been traditionally to symbolise the giving away fo the new brides 'single status'. The new husband normally takes off the garter with his teeth as this adds a bit of fun to the evening. I have been to some weddings though who have had the best man or groomsmen removing the garter for the bridal toss. I dont understand this is certainly wouldnt want anyone else other than my new husband with his mouth near my thigh!
Any way, theres the tradtion, it has developed and grown. Wondering if you even want to have the bridal toss? Why not, its another activity you can add to your wedding and its free! well other than buying a wedding garter for the garter toss, which isnt so boring anymore. With more and more new wedding designs for garters to options are endless. The old frilly lacey boring garters that look like something your grandma has to cover her toilet roll are a thing of the past. With all that white on a wedding day why not have a fun unique and colourful garter for your garter toss? Check out my garters at http://www.nataliebriggs.etsy.com/ where you'll find exciting garters without the huge price tag as in the shops and yet better made! because i handmake all of my garters myself.

Lots of Views today and a potential WHolesale opp
Wow what a day! My Light Blue Princess Garter got 40 views in only one day! And Bridal Selections in New York emailed me today asking for my AWholesale terms so ive sent that off, hopefully here back from them. That would be great to have my garters already for sale in a store in New York!!!! Have to find out how to make up some fabric labels to go on the inside of the garters with my name on them if i do get this deal, so it still bring some traffic back to my website.

New Garter - Blue Twinkle Star Garter
Check out my another new garter i have just added to my etsy page. I was playing with the blue ribbon to see what i could make of it. My favourite flower is the english bluebell so ive made the ribbon into the image of the blue bell then put these all together, this looks pretty good. Then i thought hmmm this needs some sparkle so some pearl beads and dark blue beads for contrast were added. This flower brotch is mounted on a garter of white ribbon and antique ivory style lace borded on each side with sparkley beaded lace. What a statment piece!

Wedding tip of the day
Tip of the day for your wedding: When shopping for your wedding dress, dont be affraid or embarrised to go over to the 'sale' section of the wedding dress store. Just because dresses are here does'nt mean they are the worset in the store and no one else wants them. Most of the time people dont realise they are dresses from a few seasons back with one or two sizes left that the store want to shift to make room for the new seasons frocks. I got my gorgeous dress marked down $1000 !!! i loved it the first time i saw it! The shop lady brought it over to me with out me knowing it was from the sale section... later finding out id saved $1000 was great! One thing to look out for though - ask the shop attendant has this dress been tried on? check for stains or damgae because its likely its been in the store for a long time.
Have fun shopping ! :) (heres a pick of my wedding dress i got for $1500 instead of $2500.
